A small village that is easy to miss as you drive along the A29, but well worth walking around.

Turning left off the A29 just before the Squire and Horse Pub, Bury Manor sits to your right. There is a plaque commemorating the author John Galsworthy, who wrote a chapter here, of his acclaimed novel The Forsyte Saga, which was serialised on television for six months, during the 1960s.

The old village is ahead of you and the road leads down to the River Arun, with views across to the Amberley Brooks accessible until the mid 1900’s by a ferry.

Bury is 7 miles due south of Pulborough
