An attractive small town in the foothills of the South Downs. It has a good selection of local shops, cafes, pubs and other amenities, which include a Leisure Centre, playing fields, Museum and a Village Pond that is popular with wildlife.

The name Storrington is thought to come from an area associated with Storks and Cranes, which used to live in the area here about a thousand years ago. Interestingly, the Knepp Park Estate (about ten miles to the north) has successfully reintroduced Storks to the area.
